Worldwide Release - October 29th, 2013

Since 2006 Konrad Wert has been an incomparable force of nature under the appellation Possessed by Paul James. With his latest release, There Will Be Nights When I'm Lonely (Hillgrass Bluebilly Records), it's clear the well runs deep as he continues to create rare and intimate music on a nearly impossible level. A family man and recent recipient of "Teacher of the Year" in his school district, he manages a successful balance between disparate career paths and domestic roles. Averaging a minimal 50 to 60 show a year tour schedule he's made every bit of his time on the road count, taking his impressive performances nationwide and throughout Europe as well.

As a follow up to 2010's Independent Music Award (IMA) award winning Feed The Family, There Will Be Nights When Im Lonely surpasses expectation. The meat of this album serves as an audio handbook to the great equalizers that we are all subjected to. Life, death, love, loss , failure, work, poverty, unity, duty and ultimately gratitude are heavy concepts seamlessly woven into the compositions.

Konrad

For those familiar with his delivery in live shows and previous recordings, the musicianship accompanying this anomalous talent is powerfully cohesive. It's no wonder though as his supporting cast is comprised of Cary Ozanian and Darren Sluyter of the Weary Boys , acclaimed pedal steel player Lloyd Maines, Walter Daniels and members of the East Cameron Folkcore. From serene overture to epic build, the pieces lend to an intense and richly balanced work. If you are already a fan of his solo endeavors, There Will Be Nights When I'm Lonely is a satisfying evolution.

On the surface of modern living there is a glut of canned commercialism in art and industry. Soul is stripped ,over processed and malnourished to widen the demographic. An album like this is a reminder there is still magic in this world. We need more of this. Honesty and vulnerability in art create extraordinary connections between artist and listener, there is no doubt this album will deeply effect any that listen.
